Grenchen – Obergrenchenberg

The Grenchen – Obergrenchenberg route on Rouvy consists of three main phases.

First, the route commences with an unapologetically fierce climb through the woods North from the town of Grenchen. There is nothing to see in this phase other than trees.

As the route nears the top of the climb, the scenery opens up, and you are now riding atop nice green hills with the forest below, this section is much more redeeming.

The final phase is the descent from Obergrenchenberg towards the town of Courts. The route is steep, but with enticing views of green rolling hills. For some reason the route stops at a random point on the road which does not really feel like a logical end to the ride.

Being a Rouvy Augmented Route the video quality is excellent throughout. The weather is good throughout too – though in the woods there is not much sight of the blue sky.
