The What Goes Up, Must Come Down workout in week 2 of the “Build Me Up” training program in Zwift is one hour near threshold work out.
The main body of the workout consists of a series of near threshold intervals. As the workout progresses each interval becomes longer, the target cadence is decreased with the FTP% decreasing by 5% each interval.
This makes for a long, slow, but high powered grind in the latter intervals. Also look out for the out of the saddle bursts in the latter parts of the workout.
