Welcome to the InsideRRR preview of the Prague – Hvezda course on Rouvy. Please read on to see my thoughts on the route, course profile and images, and my own ride data.
The Prague – Hvezda course on Rouvy is a flat 4.5km run loop through Obora Hvezda, a large park outside Prague. The course was a short test of the Rouvy AR Run functionality, which I had not tried out since leaving Rouvy in September in a strop about their increasingly hard line on interactive trainers in races – which I’ve no intention of upgrading my smart bike to.
The course is completely flat, made up of a series of legs through the forest, all returning in time to the opening in front of a star shaped pavilion in the centre of the park.
The course is really well executed. The video clarity and view distance is superb, and the picture stable in comparison to some of the user content on other systems. The avatar animation likely needs a little refinement – but provides a good focal point in the centre of the picture.
The video is recorded in stabilised 2K resolution. Like much of the content on Rouvy the footage is filmed at a higher speed than will be used in practice – keep an eye out for comedic pedestrians moonwalking as a result.
I hope that you enjoy the run – let us know what you think in the comments box below.
