The Specialized Tarmac SL7 was released on Zwift in August 2020, and ridden by all participants of the Specialized 7 Days of Tarmac event. Read on to see a brief introduction to the bike, and images.
Well it’s new vBike day here at InsideRRR. 12 Levels in to our Zwift ridethrough, we were conscious that we seemed to be consistently slower than other riders with identical w/kg. We decided it was time for a new vBike!
We were drawn to the SL7 by it’s metrics. At 3 Aero the bike is a full point more aero than the vanilla Zwift bike that we have been riding, and at 4 Weight, a full two points lighter. At 674,500 drops the SL7 wiped out a fair chunk of our Virtual bank balance – but we are hoping to see a little improvement in our performance as a result.
The aesthetics are beautiful too. The bike fades from the custom coloraturas chosen, into Specialized red and black, with S-Works detail.
You do, however, need to be at Level 5 or above before you can buy this frame.
